Family Events
Every year, we invite all the families in our childcare community for special events such as the Easter egg hunt and Santa's grotto.
These events not only bring joy to the children but also create a strong bond among our nursery families, reinforcing our commitment to providing a warm and inclusive environment for all.
Christmas Festivities
This is perhaps one of the favourite times of year with everyone getting into the festive spirit. As the daylight fades, the magical atmosphere grips the imagination of families as they make their way along the winding path to Santas Grotto.
The grotto has taken many shapes and sizes and been held in various locations of the grounds at Peartree Barn down through the years. But one thing remains constant, that same child-like wonder as they hear Santa’s bells ring and that ‘Ho Ho Ho’ as he greets them.
Easter Trail
The staff at Peartreebarn enjoy setting up family events that allow the children to explore the grounds with their parents/carers. Events such as the ‘egg hunt’ with a trail of clues point to the location of chocolate treasures. Our expansive grounds are secure with the vehicle movements restricted to the front parking area ensuring that all the play resource areas are landscaped and sub-divided into designated age groups.
The ‘egg hunt’s concludes with chocolate baskets being hurried back to the shepherds hut where they can be counted on the veranda and prizes distributed.
Graduation
The graduation ceremony is a fun event for the children and family members to celebrate how those from play group have developed in readiness for their move to key stage 1 at primary school. Every child receives a certificate in recognition of their efforts. The graduation takes place in our tepee and is an informal event with the opportunity in the Photo Booth to record those big smiles for perpetuity.
The event ends with some food and refreshments by our campfire.
